We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to join our team and support day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and planning activities that help the business make informed decisions.

Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across one or more business areas.

As a Finance Business Partner at Atomeocean, you will produce recurring management reports, track actuals against plan, complete standard reconciliations, and surface trends so the business can make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports and variance commentary.
  • Enter and reconcile financial data in the company's ERP / general-ledger system.
  • Supervise and mentor junior Finance Business Partners, reviewing their work and providing technical guidance.
  • Support the close process by completing standard reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Pull data from internal systems to populate recurring management reports.
  • Maintain financial trackers and templates (e.g., headcount, vendor spend, marketing spend).
  • Respond to routine questions from business stakeholders about expenses, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Participate in cross-functional finance projects following standard FP&A workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Four years of professional experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or audit / advisory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, reporting, and scenario / sensitivity analysis.
  • Proficiency with SQL and at least one BI tool (Tableau or Power BI).
  • Experience working in an ERP environment (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or comparable).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide junior finance staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members in a remote work environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Progress toward CPA, CFA, or an MBA.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology, marketplace, or services business.
  • Exposure to Python or scripting for finance automation.

Preferred But Not Required

All preferred qualifications are optional and are not minimum requirements for the position.

These preferred skills do not increase the complexity of the offered position and do not elevate the wage level.

Wage Level Justification

This posting is classified using the worksheet method from the DOL's 2009 Prevailing Wage Determination Policy Guidance (see Wage Level Determination). Baseline occupation: Financial and Investment Analysts (O*NET-SOC 13-2051.00), Job Zone 4 — experience range over 2 and up to 4 years; usual education: Bachelor's degree.

Compared with the Level I posting, this posting adds two minimum requirements:

  • Experience (Step 2): four years of professional experience reaches the high end of the Job Zone 4 range (over 2 and up to 4 years), adding +2 — the guidance's own Job Zone 4 example scores a Software Engineer requirement of 4 years (high end of the range) at +2.
  • Supervisory duties (Step 5): this position supervises and mentors junior Finance Business Partners. Supervision is not a customary duty of the Financial and Investment Analysts occupation, so the requirement adds +1 — the guidance's parallel example scores a Software Engineer position supervising 2 junior engineers at +1.

The required Excel, SQL, and BI-tool skills are covered by the occupation's O*NET Tasks and Technology Skills baseline, so they add no Step 4 points. The CPA / CFA certifications and the MBA are listed under Preferred Skills only; preferred qualifications are not minimum requirements and do not score, so the education requirement remains the occupation's usual Bachelor's degree (Step 3 +0). Mandarin is preferred but not required, so no foreign-language point applies.
