International Students Affected
Dear Atomeocean,
The global diversity of our NYU community has long been a bedrock of NYU. Therefore, we understand the uncertainty that many of our international students and scholars are experiencing at this time.
Recent Developments
As you have likely seen in recent media reports, federal immigration authorities have begun terminating the immigration status of some international students at colleges and universities across the country. NYU has become aware that some members of our own community are among those affected.
Our office has been in direct contact with all affected individuals, providing them with information and resources.
University Response
- Continuous Monitoring: The University is continuing to monitor the situation closely.
- Proactive Outreach: If we identify additional community members who have had their immigration status terminated, a member of the OGS team will reach out to them immediately.
- Status Clarification: If you have not heard from us, it means the University is unaware of any changes to your immigration status.
Privacy & Communication
"Given privacy laws and policies, we cannot provide specific information about any of those affected."
